History

The Shanly Group was founded in 1970 by Michael Shanly, Chairman of the Group. It began with the build of residential property, which in turn lead to the acquisition of commercial property. Growth and expansion resulted in two businesses being formed: Shanly Homes for the development and sale of residential property, and Sorbon Investments which deals with the Group's commercial property portfolio.

The first Shanly Homes development was in Pinner, Middlesex, followed by a development in Maidenhead, Berkshire, a picturesque Thameside town. Since then, we have completed approximately one thousand development sites in the South East of England. The growth of the Shanly Group has been helped by the way in which it consistently adopts prudent operating policies over the long term.
