Best bites in Windsor this Mother's Day

Mother's Day for many of us is a time to celebrate mums everywhere, so to ensure she receives the day she deserves, we've sought-out the best places in Windsor to say thank you to your mum this special Sunday.

Why Windsor? Well it really is the hub of all things great for a day out. Whether you like to do a spot of shopping in Windsor Royal Shopping Centre with its mix of high street and independent retailers, wine and dine in the wide variety of restaurants, or soak in the natural beauty and stroll along the stunning River Thames or Long Walk, there is something for everyone in this charming Berkshire town. Windsor boasts rich culture and history that is still so vibrant today; no wonder Windsor Castle is the Queen's favourite weekend home.

The Brasserie at Sir Christopher Wren - Located on the River Thames, you can drink in spectacular views as you watch swans and boats glide by. With the bar and terrace at the rear touching the river bank, The Brasserie offers upscale dining in the heart of Windsor. Enjoy a glass of bubbly as you choose your lunch from the all-day Brasserie menu which offers a variety of classics such as a club sandwich, Peri-Peri chicken burger and Caesar salad, as well as specials including pheasant, calf's liver and duck breast.

The Boatman - Staying on the Thames, The Boatman has been a drinking and eating establishment since 1829 and boasts arguably the best views of the Thames of any pub in Windsor.. This charming pub offers traditional dishes such as fish and chips, burger and chips, steak, pasta and salads.
