We are delighted to announce that Maidenhead, the central Berkshire location which is home to many of our developments such as Chapel Wharf, The Picturehouse, Camlet Place and Elva Lodge, featured in the Daily Express on Friday 14th July.
The article, written by Deborah Stone, focuses on Crossrail which is due to be completed in December 2019 and talks about the ambitious rejuvenation plans for Maidenhead where Crossrail will connect the town to central London.
Deborah writes, "Central to the plans is the Maidenhead Waterways Restoration Group, a charity set up by local people to restore and enlarge dried-up old waterways, "bringing the Thames to the town" and provide a more attractive waterside setting. Maidenhead will be two stops before Reading and just 55 minutes from Canary Wharf by train. This alone has been enough to attract housebuilders such as Shanly Homes with its Chapel Arches developments beside the rejuvenated waterways. It includes The Picturehouse, a mix of one, two and three bed apartments with a restaurant on the ground floor. Some apartments come with balconies and all with dedicated parking and fitted bathrooms and kitchens"
Maidenhead is a lovely Thameside Berkshire town with excellent transport links, has a number of large open spaces in close proximity and has a wealth of leisure and sporting activities. Maidenhead is close to the charming towns of Windsor and Marlow, all of which provide a mixture of shopping facilities and a great selection of restaurants offering a variety of cuisines.
