Shanly Homes, a privately-owned, award-winning regional housebuilder is looking for a Trainee Office Administrator to join their friendly team based in the Beaconsfield office. This is a great role for someone looking to make an initial step into office administration and you will be provided with support and guidance to develop.

About the role

As Trainee Office Administrator you will:

  • Provide daily cover of the office reception area and switchboard
  • Answer all incoming calls in a friendly and professional manner, transferring the caller to the relevant employee/team
  • Manage any deliveries notifying the employee of it's receipt
  • Greet visitors and let the relevant employee know of their arrival
  • Co-ordinate the office's post
  • Daily collection and drop off at the beginning and end of the day for our document exchange post. A full driving licence and own transport is a must
  • Open and distribute post to relevant teams/employees
  • Collate and prepare all outgoing post
  • Assist in managing employee holiday requests and attendance
  • Record requests for holiday including in Outlook calendars
  • Input attendance information into our employee database ensuring it is accurate
  • Support with general duties to keep the office running efficiently and presented well
  • Proactively keep the meeting rooms and kitchen areas tidy and replenish items when needed
  • Check if refreshments are needed for meetings and help with any lunch requirements
  • Assist in organising for office and company events
  • Help out different teams across the business when needed
  • Prepare a range of documents and liaise with our solicitors to assist our Long Leasehold Property Manager
  • Support with the invoice process, ensuring information is recorded and copies are filed as necessary

About you

We're looking for someone with:

  • Own transport and full UK driving license
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to help where needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Great self-motivation and enthusiasm
