Planning Manager - Full or Part Time


We are currently recruiting for an experienced Planning Manager with a great track record at managing planning consents on residential developments to join our Beaconsfield based team who develop bespoke, high-end properties in and around the Thames Valley, Surrey, Sussex and Kent areas.

We would consider both part time (minimum of 25 hours per week) and full time working hours with some flexibility on the hours to suit the needs of the right candidate. We work better as a team (and have some good fun too) so you will need to be happy working in our Beaconsfield office.

What you will be doing

As Planning Manager, you will assist in securing planning for acquired land and existing holdings by:

  • Preparing compelling planning applications and appeals
  • Developing good relationships with local authorities and planning teams to assist in the negotiation of successful outcomes
  • Instructing and manage external planning consultants
  • Discharging planning conditions and legal agreement obligations to enable site commencement in line with target dates

Skills and experience 

  • proven experience in a similar role with a residential and/or commercial developer or planning consultancy
  • working knowledge of the planning system, both development control and strategic policy.
  • knowledge of the development industry
  • personable and able to build strong working relationships
  • ideally degree qualified and MRTPI
  • clear and concise communication skills
