A return to the races at Epsom Downs

A sense of normality returns to Epsom this weekend, as Epsom Downs Racecourse prepares to host the famous Epsom Derby behind closed doors on Saturday 4th July.

Racing fans are encouraged to join in from home, with the first race taking place at 1.50pm and the last at 5.35pm. The Investec Derby itself will be running at 4.55pm. Six races will be shown on ITV1 and the full day will be available to watch on Racing TV.

Epsom Downs, which hosts the famous racing track, is an area of outstanding natural beauty within travelling distance of our upcoming development, Epsom Reach.

Forming part of the North Downs, which stretch from Farnham in Surrey to the White Cliffs of Dover in Kent, the area features wide open green spaces perfect for leisure and relaxation. The downs are regularly frequented by ramblers, model aircraft flyers, golfers and cyclists, in addition to families enjoying a picnic.

During lockdown, the value of nearby green spaces has never been higher. Epsom Reach residents will be able to reach the downs in just over 5 minutes by car, or just over 35 minutes on foot.

Shanly Homes are counting down to a late summer launch at Epsom Reach, with the best of contemporary lifestyles and environmental features at the heart of each apartment.

We look forward to welcoming you to Epsom Reach.
