Christmas Jumper Day has fast become a much-loved annual Christmas event with many offices, schools and communities donning bright Christmas jumpers adorned with sequins, glitter and even lights to raise money for Save the Children. Although the festivities this year will be different in many ways, the staff and pupils of Busbridge Infant School are getting into the spirit of the season and showing off their Christmas Jumpers on the 11th December to raise as much money as possible for this fundamental charity. Supporting the school in its fundraising efforts is Shanly Homes who are pleased to be donating £250 in order to provide vital support to children in the UK and across the globe living in poverty, going hungry and unable to learn.
Greg Kaye, Head of Sales at Shanly Homes comments: "We are proud to be supporting Busbridge Infant School for this year's Christmas Jumper Day. Save the Children benefits children around the world, and after a turbulent year for many it has been lovely to see children helping other children. Now in its ninth year, Christmas Jumper Day has raised a massive £25.1million since its launch in 2012 and we hope that our contribution of £250 will help Busbridge Infant School raise a record-breaking amount of money for Save the Children."
Katherine Smith, Headteacher at Busbridge Infant School comments: "We have supported Save the Children's Christmas Jumper Day for a number of years, and this year it seems even more significant to help charities that are close to our hearts. I can't thank Shanly Homes enough for kick starting our fundraising with such a generous contribution."
