Striving art students from years 7, 8 and 9 at The Marist School, Ascot hosted an art exhibition in one of our stunning five bedroom homes at our beautiful Windsor Gray Place development on Wednesday 8th February. The theme of the exhibition was 'Ascot' and there were a fantastic mixture of illustrations, collages and paintings on display.
The artwork was judged by local art gallery owner Alan Kluckow from 'The Alan Kluckow Fine Art Gallrey' in Sunningdale. Alan chose three winners and interestingly, each of the winning pieces featured horses. In first place was Yasmin Shah (year 9) who produced a beautiful collage of a horse. Yasmin was presented with a lovely prize; an easel, acrylic and water colour paints, art pads and bushes. We hope this inspires Yasmin to continue her excellent work. In second place was Millie Grey (year 9) who sketched her horse and third place went to Bella Welch (year 9) who used strobe paints. Both of the girls received some useful sketching pencils presented in a striking wooden box.
Congratulations to all of the students who took part in the competition, there were some truly admirable pieces displayed. All of the artwork created by the budding young artists can be viewed at Windsor Grey Place from 16th to 20th February, 10am-5pm.
