Enfield is a London borough in North London. It borders the boroughs of Haringey to the south, Barnet to the west, and Waltham Forest to the southeast. Just to the north, above the M25 are the districts of Hertsmere, Welwyn Hatfield and Broxbourne in Hertfordshire, and to the east Epping Forest (in Essex). The main towns in the borough are Edmonton, Enfield, Southgate and Palmers Green. Enfield is the northernmost London borough.
Although a part of London, Enfield boasts numerous parks and recreation areas. Broomfield Park, Myddleton House Gardens, and Go Ape Cockfosters are just a few. Many of the local activities are on and around the A10 road. It has a large number of retail shops and a large multiplex Cineworld cinema.
The western areas of Enfield are mostly residential but there are also shopping centres in Cockfosters, Southgate, and Palmers Green.
The A10 runs all the way into Central London, and the M25 is readily accessed to the north.
