When Nicola and Dom first set their sights on the country life, the couple knew that Help to Buy was their best option, so prioritised new homes in their search. 32-year-old Nicola explains: "We were living a two-bedroom flat in Bromley and were fed up of renting. We came into some inheritance, so it became the ideal time to get ourselves onto the ladder. Dom, 36, continues: "We had seen two or three other developments locally, but nothing really stood out to us. Being at home more during lockdown has meant more time to decorate their new three-bedroom house and the couple are excited about finally being able to have friends and family over. Dom says: "We were a bit impulsive, putting up new decking in the garden, wallpapering and painting walls very soon after moving in. The house is ideal for entertaining with lots of space and the layout flows nicely: we can't wait to have guests over eventually! The smaller bedroom also makes a great office - incredibly helpful as we're both working from home - and the second bedroom is Nicola's dressing room."
Nicola says one of the best things about their new home is the garden: "It backs onto open field, really highlighting the space the location affords compared to our flat back in Bromley. We've just bought a new puppy and having the space for him to run around in is wonderful, plus there's lots of green spaces locally which we can't wait to take him to once he's had all of his jabs. This is the life we'd always wanted, and we're thrilled to finally be here."
