In March Primary school students from Turners Hill Church of England Primary school visited our Clock Field, Turners Hill construction site. Twenty students from the year 3 class were given an educational tour around the development which will consist of 33 homes.
The students, aged 7 and 8, were taken out of their classroom and to our live construction site dressed in wellies, high-vis jackets and mini hard hats. After learning about the loss of habitat to local wildlife when sites are cleared, both here and in the rainforest, students were given an educational talk on what steps Shanly Homes takes to limit the disturbance to wildlife.
Each student was also given a bird box and a set of paints to decorate and bring along with them when they return in the summer to visit the finished show home and for Shanly Homes staff to judge and give prizes.
Clock Field is due to launch in June 2018 for more information on please call 01372 225007 or register your interest online.
