As an IT Support Engineer, you will be the first point of call to all 1st and 2nd line support requests and escalate incidents as and when necessary. You will need to make use of the ITSM system to prioritise the tickets and keep on top of your workload whilst keeping employees updated.
Working in a small team and reporting directly to the IT Support Manager, you will be responsible for supporting daily running of the IT department as well as get involved in projects.
The role is not limited to help desk, and you will get involved in many ad hoc IT projects and installations. The role will fit someone who is up for a challenge and enjoys a big variety of IT tasks, starting from admin duties all the way to system administration and new installations.

What you'll be doing
- Using the ITSM system, you will provide first and second line support to employees on a range of IT issues with a can do attitude you will seek to resolve these as swiftly as possible. This will be both telephone support and face to face.
- Setup and troubleshoot issues related to PC's, laptops, Mac's, mobiles, tablets and more (Windows, Android and iOS).
- Administer the process for new employees and leavers.
- Assist with new IT installations, system upgrades and site moves/setups and desk moves.
- Monitor systems backups and vulnerability notifications to ensure that any issues raised are resolved promptly.
- Regularly review and highlight recurring problems and consider potential recommendations to resolve these.
About you
- Previous experience in providing IT support to the end user (desk side, remote, email, phone and chat).
- Good working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies.
- Experience in administering Office 365, Windows Servers and MS Exchange.
- Experience in Microsoft Azure and administration of Azure hosted servers.
- Good understanding of basic networking terminologies (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
- Previous management of Intune enrolled devices and updating policies.
- Good understanding of VPNs and firewalls.
- Driving licence and own transport as the role will involve some support to the team based on our developments.
