Meadow Rise

Odiham is a charming historic village located in Hampshire. With a selection of friendly pubs and cafes Balcombe has first class amenities, including stunning green spaces on your doorstep with Recreation Road Playground a stones throw from the development. Meadow Rise is within walking distance of the High Street with an array of shops, restaurants, pubs and some great coffee spots.

There is a fantastic selection of restaurants right on the High Street in Odiham (0.4 miles away), including Bel and The Dragon at The George housed in a Grade II listed former inn dating as far back as 1540 and serving a range of classic British fayre with modern adaptions and delights from The Josper Grill; The Read Lion serving seasonal menus and daily specials; Odiham Spice which serves a wonderful selection of Indian cuisine as well as offering a takeaway service; friendly Italian Mediterranean restaurant El Castello offering an array of traditional and modern dishes in a cosy setting; Kings Chinese takeaway and restaurant, a family run business offering authentic cuisine; and French cafe, La Creperie, who have a marvellous selection of sweet and savoury pancakes, light meals, and cakes. For a traditional cooked breakfast, takeaway coffee and cake, or light lunch there is also Fountains Coffee Shop. 

Under a mile away you'll find The Waterwitch, a traditional English pub on the banks of the Basingstoke Canal, perfect for a canal side walk followed by a tasty traditional pub meal. If you fancy something even more historic, visit The Mill House, a Grade II listed watermill with its roots steeped in Medieval times and serving amazing meals and a superb roast on a Sunday, and just a mile from Meadow Rise. 

Odiham offers plenty to do with your down time, from leisurely strolls along the Basingstoke Canal or over Odiham Common, to visiting the Friday market held on the High Street and selling a range of artisan produce. For sport lovers, there is a great selection of clubs to join including cricket, tennis and bowling. Swim Odiham, located just outside the village, offers swimming clubs and lessons for all ages. Within 10 miles you'll find four golf clubs including Tynley Park (4.6 miles away), Hartley Wintney (5 miles away), Alton (6 miles away), and Sherfield Oaks (9.6 miles away). If you fancy exploring more of the canal, why not hire a rowboat, kayak or electric boat from Galleon Marine Boatyard and take a trip on the water, or enjoy paddleboard lessons and social paddle events hosted by Paddle SUP Company. 

If it is fitness you enjoy, ArenaFit, The Park Health Club, and Fircombe Fitness are all in close proximity offering gym equipment, classes, and personal training. 

Nearby Basingstoke also offers a wealth of leisure opportunities including indoor skydiving, ice-skating, a trampoline park, escape rooms, bowling, and Milestones Museum, so you'll never be stuck for something to do with the children.

Meadow Rise is just a 10 minute drive to Hook station where trains to London Waterloo take an hour. Also 10 minutes' drive away is Wichfield station which has a service to London Waterloo in 55 minutes. London Heathrow Airport (T5) is 29 miles away. and the M3 can be accessed in approximately 15-minutes. Stagecoach South has regular buses to the nearby towns of Basingstoke, Alton, Weybourne, and Fleet, as well as to Alton College.
