We were delighted to meet with the Mayor of Aylesbury, Cllr Tim Dixon, and Sherrilyn Bateman of Aylesbury Foodbank at our Little Green, Aston Clinton, marketing suite. They visited us to tell us more about the fantastic work of the Foodbank and the Mayor's 10 Tonne Challenge, as well as drop off a food collection basket.
Since Cllr Dixon was appointed as Mayor in 2022 he has embarked on his challenge to provide food collection points across Aylesbury making it easier for people to donate non-perishable goods to the foodbank.
Due to rising living costs the foodbank has been under increasing pressure to provide more support to those who are struggling to feed themselves and their families.
We are pleased to be able to host the first food collection point in Aston Clinton, providing locals with somewhere close to drop off their donations.
Our marketing suite is open from 10am to 5pm seven days a week. Details on what items the foodbank needs can be found on their website.
